The TD Hyper range from Daiwa received a massive following upon its initial release in 2017. This year there has been a cosmetic upgrade to keep things fresh, and with a rod in the range to suit any estuary and inshore application the TD hyper range ticks all the boxes.
Combining Daiwa advanced blank design with outstanding value, the new TD Hyper is undeniably impressive and built to perform. The heart of TD Hyper is Daiwa’s HVF Nanoplus blank that combines precise resin control with unidirectional graphite fibre to produce a blank with maximum graphite density.
Light, responsive, and crisp in action, the TD Hyper blank performance is further enhanced courtesy of X45 blank technology and combine to work seamlessly together to improve rod performance and eliminate blank twist and distortion to increase rod strength, function, and sensitivity.
Lightweight Fuji O ring guides help the blank maintain its action and provide superior casting performance, and unlimited line flow and line protection.
The new TD Hyper receives a significant componentry upgrade in the form of Daiwa’s Airsensor reel seats. These reel seats are made from carbon infused resin, making them lighter & stronger than traditional reel seat designs. The supremely comfortable Airsensor reel seats make using the TD Hyper for long sessions a joy.

X45
Developed to eliminate blank twist and increase power, X45 features a Bias Wrap Construction, left/right 45-degree carbon weave within the blank. X45 radically improves rod strength and durability by eliminating twist and preventing the blank from losing its round form. The elimination of this twist allows a lighter, stronger and more power and sensitive rod to be made.
FULL GRIP
A one-piece, single, rear grip that runs from the reel seat to the end of the rod.
